Planning Tips for Group Getaways

Choose Adults-Only When Possible

Adults-only resorts eliminate the family environment entirely — every pool, every bar, and every restaurant is oriented toward adult guests. The atmosphere at check-in and throughout the stay is different from family-friendly properties.

Book a Group Room Block

We negotiate a group contract with preferred rates and rooms close together — no one is scattered across different floors or towers. We track individual bookings so the organizer doesn't chase 12 people for their reservation.

Book 3–6 Months Out

For groups of 10+ in the same resort, 3–6 months lead time secures room proximity and any preferred room categories. Popular holiday weekends (Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day) book out earlier — aim for 6+ months for those.

Coordinate Airport Transfers

Private group shuttle from the airport to the resort is one of the best investments for a bach trip — everyone arrives together, energy starts immediately, and no one gets lost or separated in an unfamiliar airport. We coordinate this as part of the group booking.

Pre-Book One Group Excursion

A catamaran tour, cenote day trip, or deep-sea fishing charter booked in advance as a group activity gives the trip structure and creates the shared memories that make it memorable. We can coordinate excursion booking alongside your resort reservation.

Ask About Group Upgrades

Most all-inclusive brands offer group benefits — complimentary room upgrades, welcome cocktail receptions, suite for the group leader at preferred pricing. We apply every eligible benefit when negotiating your group contract.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the best destination for a bachelorette party?
Cancun is the most popular US destination for bachelorette parties — 20-minute airport transfer, dozens of adults-only all-inclusive options, and Hotel Zone nightclubs within walking or taxi distance from most resorts. Riviera Maya is the better choice for groups that want cenotes, Tulum ruins, and Xcaret alongside the beach. Punta Cana is excellent value and has the most adults-only resort concentration in the Caribbean. Jamaica is best for groups wanting something genuinely culturally different — reggae, Dunn's River Falls, rum tours, and cliff diving. Tell us your group's priorities and we'll match the right destination and resort.
How many people is ideal for a destination bach trip?
Most destination bach trips run 8–20 people — large enough to create energy and get group room proximity at the resort, small enough that logistics stay manageable and everyone can agree on excursions. Groups of 10+ qualify for our group room block contracting (which locks preferred rates and rooms close together). Groups smaller than 8 can still book as a standard group through us — we just use individual reservations rather than a formal group contract. There's no maximum, but once you exceed 25–30, coordinating everyone's travel preferences becomes significantly more complex.
What does a destination bach trip typically cost per person?
For a 4-night all-inclusive trip (3 nights), budget roughly: $1,200–$2,000 per person for mid-range properties (Dreams, RIU) in Cancun or Punta Cana. $1,800–$3,000 per person for premium adults-only properties (Secrets, Hyatt Zilara) or Los Cabos. These figures include the all-inclusive resort (room + all food + all drinks + entertainment) but not flights. Airfare from most US cities to Cancun, Punta Cana, or Montego Bay runs $300–$600 roundtrip depending on departure city and timing. The advantage of all-inclusive: once guests are at the resort, no one spends another dollar unless they're booking a spa treatment or excursion.
When is the best time of year for a bach destination trip?
November through April is peak season in Mexico and the Caribbean — perfect weather, no hurricane risk, and the highest energy at resorts. It's also the most expensive and popular period, so book earlier. May and June are solid shoulder season — school hasn't let out, costs drop 10–20%, and weather is still excellent. July–October is hurricane season — resorts are cheaper and less crowded, but the probability of tropical weather increases in September–October. For the bach trip specifically: avoid the week before and after Christmas/New Year's (crowded, expensive), spring break weeks in March (crowded, younger crowd), and major US holiday weekends if the group has limited vacation time.
Do you handle individual guest bookings or just the group organizer?
Both. We set up a group room block and provide you with a booking link and our contact information to share with guests. Each guest books directly with us — they choose their room category, provide payment, and receive their confirmation. You get periodic updates on who has confirmed. The organizer doesn't manage individual payments or reservations. We also coordinate airport transfers as a group so everyone arrives and departs smoothly. This is the most common pain point for bach trip organizers — we take it entirely off your plate.
Can the bride/groom's room be comped or upgraded?
Often yes — group benefits at most all-inclusive brands include complimentary room nights or upgrades for the group leader. At properties like Secrets and Dreams, 1 room upgrade per 10 paid rooms is a standard group benefit. Some properties also offer a complimentary suite or preferred room for the VIP guest (the bride or groom) when a qualifying group contract is in place. We negotiate these benefits as part of the group contract — they're not guarantees, but they're applied wherever eligible.
How far in advance should we book?
3–6 months is the standard recommendation for most bach trips. This gives guests enough planning time, secures room availability for a group, and allows time for the inevitable follow-up with the two people who always book last minute. For peak season travel (January–April, summer holidays) or popular resorts, 6+ months is safer. We can work with as little as 4–6 weeks lead time when needed — but room proximity and preferred categories are much harder to guarantee.
